Streatham Common Community Garden (SCCG) was a charity established in 2011. It aims to be a community resource for promoting food, gardening, sustainable living, good health, positive community interactions, to protect wildlife on site and improve biodiversity.
SCCG was excited about its upcoming 10th anniversary celebration event to welcome people from across the community, and to generate income for the charity.
However, the planning of the event became challenging due to the high number of activities and the limited people resources. SCCG also faced further difficulties because of the pandemic. The charity questioned the efficiency and security of other alternative means of payment to cash handling, whilst ensuring a positive visitor experience.
When working with SCCG, Numidia carefully analysed its requirements and presented alternative solutions for making payments and donations an easy affair for the charity.
The final recommendation was for SCCG to purchase an all in one wireless card reader that would accept all forms of cashless payment and have its own data.
This card reader could be used anywhere and had extremely low transaction fees, meaning the majority of proceeds would go directly to the charity.
Numidia's analysis and recommendation has hugely increased the charity's income generation, which doubled the following year!
